GENERAL INFO
Hey There! My name is John Kyle Gardea and I cannot express enough how excited I am for the opportunity to teach students more about our world, it's many businesses, and how to work and flourish in it. I am a business manager by trade and am new to the education world. I received my degree in Business Administration from Florida International Universtiy and was able to graduate with the honors of Magna Cum Laude.
When I am not working I have a passion for photography and for travel, which seems to work well together. I have been able to visit over 30 different countries, on 4 different continents. I do not travel alone, in fact, I married my best travel partner in August of 2018. My wife and I were engaged in Paris, married in Texas, and Honeymooned in Asia and Australia. Traveling has given me such a great insight into how our world works and it is an insight I cannot wait to share with the students.
PRE-EDUCATION CAREER
I have been working in the business world since I took my first job at fifteen. I have worked for a variety of companies like Nike and Dick's Sporting Goods, however, most of my professional work experience was gaining working for The Disney Company, at The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
I began working at Disney World as a College Program Intern in an hourly position in merchandise during my college career, however, applied and was selected as a Management Intern for Merchandise. Following my internships, I was statused as a Full-TIme Guest Experience Manager where I worked for the past 8 years. In addition to my time as a Guest Experience Manager, I also worked in Human Resources as a Traditions Assistant assisting with training all new onboarding cast members on the Traditions of The Disney Company. This work experience is what I lean on heavily to bring solid instruction to my students based off of real-world experience.
